Karen is currently a third year student majoring in Computer Science at the University of Toronto (UofT).

Karen is a quick learner with strong problem-solving skills and a desire to explore the tech industry. Her extensive understanding about clients’ needs and the ability to reflect on change requests efficiently during her internship role has earned her manager and coworkers’ high recognition as seen in her Linkedin recommendations.   • Influenced three large firms including one of the world’s leading information services companies to collaborate with RBC by designing and developing a web application that powers a business search engine.
  • Enhanced existing RBC commercial banking clients’ decision-making process by providing analysis of sales trends and real-time transaction data through a web application.
  • Implemented the majority of UI features such as the rendering of search results with Bootstrap, jQuery, ChartJS and Datatables and quickly handled urgent change requests from clients and executives.
  • Received high recognition from program managers and department directors due to high quality work done in conducting small surveys and integrating user-driven design into the product.

NiMO helps the everyday user organize recurring payments through an innovative application that can be easily integrated into RBC’s mobile app. The project won 3rd place for RBC’s innovative digital banking challenge.
